National, community and international trademark and patent registration

A national trademark is one that can be registered in any country (Italy or other foreign country) to protect its owner in the country where it is registered.

A community trademark is a registration that extends to all 27 EU countries and provides protection in all current and future EU countries.

An international trademark is a registration that extends to those foreign countries, even non-EU (such as China, Russia, India, USA, etc.), in which the trademark owner is interested.
